Rooted in Craft, Grounded in Nature

There’s something deeply grounding about working with your hands—shaping raw materials into something lasting, something meaningful. For me, crafting with leather isn’t just about the finished product. It’s about slowing down, paying attention, and honoring the materials and traditions that came before.
Leather, like wood or stone, carries the marks of a life once lived. Each hide is different—subtle textures, natural imperfections, the quiet story of time written into the grain. I choose to work with leather because it’s real. It ages with you, softens with use, and carries a kind of soul that synthetic materials never could.
Much of my inspiration comes from the rivers and forests of the Pacific Northwest. Out here, surrounded by water, pine, and solitude, I’m reminded that good things take time. The same patience that goes into landing a trout on a dry fly is what I bring to the workbench—careful stitching, thoughtful design, and a commitment to making something that lasts.
Lately, I’ve had a new little workshop companion: Rufus, who insists on supervising every project from his cozy perch beside the tools. He’s curious, opinionated, and a constant reminder to stay present—and to enjoy the process as much as the outcome.
This small business was born from a love of fly fishing, a respect for skilled workmanship, and a desire to stay connected—to the outdoors, to the craft, and to the people who value both.
Thanks for being here.
